In 2008 Mingara was appointed the lead technical adviser to the South Australian (SA) Public Safety Communications Optimisation Project (PSCOP).

The scope of which included a review of the SA Government Radio Network (SAGRN) voice sub-network and strategy development for the ongoing optimisation of the SAGRN.

The assignment was made up of ten work packages, the primary task being the preparation of an evidence and hazard-based review of the State's communications needs.

This initial work by Mingara facilitated a $150m budget approval to optimise public safety communications. Our involvement in the project continued up to and including the SAGRN upgrade negotiations in 2015.
